Re: Anime Clubs
Haha, thanks Mana.
Our school in the stupid town of Roseville, has our anime club, named JAM. Japanese Anime and Mahjong. During the first 3 weeks, we were completely unorganized, with only one person coming to every meeting. Before, it was just a friendly gathering of friends where we would play Mahjong, since it's soo fun xD (Even though I hated it the first time I played).
Anyways, after being kind of established, the school had a float-building competition, in which the winning club would win $100. We entered, and won. Against clubs that have been established since our school. Miraculous victory; it was because of our amazing Totoro float.
After that, we've pretty much become an established club, well recognized with official meetings. We had a schedule for anime to watch and talk about, but that was kind of lost. I'm disappointed because our first on the list was Clannad (Best Romance ever and my personal favorite). But now we have a goal of going to Sac-Anime, which shouldn't be too difficult since we're holding a video game tournament.
And that's my club story so far.

I don't have any pics on me, but I might be able to get them now. I wish I had taken pics, because it was destroyed on the way home >_>

Re: Anime Clubs
Clannad is one of my favorites as well!
I'm currently obsessed with Gurren Lagann and Hetalia right now though.
My club is pretty bland.
I'm the only otaku there! Everyone else just "likes" anime. T__T
No one has been to a con but me.
No one owns figures but me.
No one has ever seen or owned a wallscroll but me.
and they only know mainstream shows!
THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF GURREN LAGANN! D8<
the VP has only seen about 2 shows.
The president just made herself it because no one else offered [I wasn't there at the time].
We are VERY disorganized and we don't do anything.
We plan trips though.
on the 30th, we're going to Fright Fest at Discovery Kingdom in my hometown.
I wish they would give me a chance on the hierarchy, I could do amazing things.

Re: Anime Clubs
That sounds blasphemous... Well, considering that me and the president are probably the only two hardcore watchers, I don't really mind. We actually have three members that hate anime. Haha.
How can you not know Gurren Lagann? It's so great! Probably the best mecha show. I don't want to say action, because Cowboy Bebop will always be above it on my list.
Also, I got pictures of the float!
I'm the one in the brown. I have no idea what the hell I'm doing; terrible picture of me.
I think I took the picture of this one.
